Your photographer on the other hand needs to highlight what you have to offer! That's why as a wedding photographer I like to spend time getting to know the bride and groom. I ask about how they met, what they like to do just for fun. I like to learn their personalities as best I can so I can better photograph them. For example, a bride who like casual style clothing, laid back evenings, and blue jeans, probably isn't looking for a formal photo session complete with a formal high society look. She's probably looking for a stroll on the beach as the sun sets.

Any photographer who doesn't ask those kinds of questions is probably the wrong choice. After all, your wedding and engagement photos need to show you in all your glory!
