One of the Morris Estate’s most recognizable features is its charming little white chapel—one of the only venues of its kind in Southwest Michigan. Its classic architecture, bright interior, and intimate atmosphere created a beautiful setting for Lisa and Roger to exchange their vows.
As guests filled the chapel, there was a quiet anticipation in the air. Every glance, every smile, and every happy tear reminded us why weddings are about so much more than a timeline—they’re about the people and moments that matter most.
One of our favorite parts of photographing ceremonies like this is helping couples feel completely present. After photographing more than 250 weddings, we’ve learned exactly where to be so nothing important is missed. After the ceremony, the chapel doors opened to one of the most joyful moments of the day.
Family and friends lined the walkway, each holding handfuls of flower petals. As Lisa and Roger stepped outside together for the first time as husband and wife, they were showered in vibrant petals, laughter, and cheers.
The result was a stunning display of color and emotion that perfectly reflected the excitement of the day. These are the kinds of moments that happen in an instant, and they’re exactly why experience matters. The little white chapel is beautiful from every angle. Inside, its clean architecture creates bright, elegant portraits. Outside, the chapel becomes an iconic focal point against the surrounding landscape.
One of our favorite portrait locations is actually just down the road from the chapel. Looking back through a natural canopy of mature trees creates a stunning frame that feels both intimate and grand. It’s one of those hidden gems that gives couples portraits unlike anywhere else in Southwest Michigan.
The venue also offers incredible opportunities from above. With open surroundings and the striking white chapel at its center, we were able to capture a dramatic drone photograph featuring the entire wedding party and guests. These unique perspectives tell the full story of the day while showcasing the beauty of the venue itself.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered beneath the Morris Estate’s spacious white reception tent.
The elegant tent continued the clean, classic aesthetic established by the chapel while offering plenty of room for celebration. Soft lighting, beautiful décor, heartfelt toasts, and a packed dance floor made the evening feel both sophisticated and relaxed.
The bright, neutral design of the reception space also photographs beautifully. Every detail—from the table settings to the first dance—stood out without distraction, allowing the focus to remain exactly where it belonged: on Lisa and Roger and the people celebrating with them.
